Hey this is igebadia at hot nerd news, the news that matters to me and usually it is hot girls but today it is Haiti... or as I call it the Haiti effect. See the problem that many other worthy charities and problems are finding that their pleas for help are falling on deaf ears as the carnage on TV captivates the world's attention. An example of this is where 3 young hikers were arrested for wandering into Iran. I know your thinking you deserve to get arrested if you wander into Iran... but the truth is this is just another example of how trying to get the world to hear your pain is harder and harder with the advent of the modern gossip girl media. In the video the girl and the family must feel like nobody cares and they would likely be right. It is not because people are selfish but because it lacks the carnage. Sure when the first few people were kidnapped in the Middle East everyone got all excited but after awhile it become more common place just as it became common place seeing our solders come hom in body bags.
